A Tetris version should be possible as well. At least Trebmint already started "SymTris" some years ago, and AFAIK it was written in SymBasic, too.
Btw as soon as I am finished with my current stuff I will try to execute Sym4Row on an Amstrad CPC...
On the CPC
Has the CPC also 16 colors ? I tested in 4 color mode the red-color is the same as the background
.. The mouse- over is taking a lot CPU power.. I think I have to do something about that.
Yes, but only at a resolution of 160x200, which isn't supported in SymbOS anymore. So on the CPC you only have 4 and 2 colour screen modes. I would suggest to add some borders or something like this to make the game also playable in 4 colour mode
Interesting.. So why did you removed this mode ?because it was to small ?.. It would be interesting maybe to expand the command line (cmd) with different color modes so you can make full screen application's.. Like dos programs running under the console. I don't know if it have any benefit but maybe you can use the mode again...
Bdw the borders are a good idea. I'm working on that!
Well, are you sure someone wants to use the SymbOS GUI in this resolution

It didn't make much sense anymore, and I really needed the code space for other new features.
Multicolour-support in the SymShell environment would be quite complex unfortunately.
Although not participating I'm keeping a close eye in this thread, it's really interesting!
SymbOS is a nice OS but I think the GUI is not suitable for the MSX because we can't use japanese or korean language.

I think you are right after looking to the picture

I think symbos is unbelievable nice!!! I understand that you want it in your own language .. but that's look like a hell of a job to me
English is also perfect? not ?
