Dear All,
I saw a big cartridge called "PlaySonic" and it runs Sega Master System Games.

My question: What systems the PlaySoniq can run? (List of all computers,Consoles & Handhelds)

Also, I need to know all computers,Consoles & Handhelds that can be run in MSX turbo R FS-A1 GT ? And How ?

Thanks everybody...

Sniper

From the manual : "Support for Sega SG-1000 / SC-3000 / MARK III / Master System games"

Answer to your second question, there is a gameboy emulator for msx, but you need a v9990 expansion cartridge. http://www.tni.nl/products/gem.html

Also you can run 2x MSX on your turbo r http://msx.fi/nyyrikki/software.html

Thanks Syn..... I thought Commodore, Amega, Spectrum, Amstrad and Apple I & II can be run in MSX TR, because almost they have the same characteristics and system specifics !!!

Thanks again

Coleco can be run with mission emulator on msx.
Nes games can be played if you have a very specific cartridge expansion (korean, only saw it once).
There are a lot of spectrum based ports on msx.
Some people have converted game gear games so they can be played on master system. Those should also work on playsoniq.
Tiny yarou also has a sg1000 emulator so you can play games without master system.

Others might be doable or games might be ported to msx from those systems but I don't know of a way to play them directly on msx.

Great ....

Randam : If Coleco can be run by MSX TR GT then ... I believe Atari 2600 also is payable ?

What I mean ... Most of 80s stuff has the same operating system and same technical approach. Hence it should work in MSX.

As far as I know Atari 2600 has a very different and timing critical way of drawing graphics, so I don’t think it’s possible to emulate on MSX. Also if the CPU is different (not Z80), emulation will always come at a significant cost so you need a machine that’s significantly faster.

For example, the Gameboy CPU is similar but not identical to the Z80, and even with its small differences it still requires an MSX turboR with V9990 to emulate it at good speed. And that’s with extremely efficient, JIT compilation-based emulation.

"similar approach" does not equal compatibility.

Xbox is basically a pc, but still you cant run games directly on them.
You cant run ps4 games on pc eventhough the hardware is just x86 pc hardware (although iirc the actual model cpu is not available to consumers)

Where do you get the impression that 80s stuff all had the same operating system? I dont see it.

Also you underestimate the power needed to emulate things ACCURATELY. (see Article by an emulator creator).

Only a few games.

Very rare.

The Musical Memory Mapper cartridge is a very good intermediate solution.

The majority are no longer online.

Gdx, didn't you make quite a few ports of coleco to msx and some other patches? If some of those are no longer online, might those be interesting again to put online (or in patch form)?

Regarding Colecovision games, there's a way to run properly games like "Popey" or "Bump 'n Jump"? perhaps with psqset command? if yes, how exactly?
