After fixing the keyboard bug I am now able to surf through the whole HispaMSX BBS! Really cool! I am afraid, that colour support isn't possible at the moment due to the current limitations of SymShell. But I am now implementing the remaining ANSI escape codes.
Btw, the "Star Wars" Telnet video is stopping, when showing the "20 Century Text" scene. This happens in SymTel as well as with Konamimans' TCPCON. Do you know the reason for this? I wonder if they use some codes, which require an automatic response to the server.
*Edit* @Karloch, what kind of updates are you planning to do?
Not much actually:
- Upgrading the Synchronet software to the lastest CVS version, so it get the lastest fixes and features.
- Added support for uncompressing RAR files. This adds to the existing ZIP and LZH support.
- Cleaned up the bulletins section. There was quite a lot of outdated information there.
- Health check of the mailgate capability, where I have found there is a problem with HispaMSX at Yahoo Groups. However, it looks like gate to SymbOS mail list is working perfectly.
I will keep an eye to what's happening with the HispaMSX mailgate.
Karloch, we had a lot of fun this evening on your HispaMSX BBS!
Edoz and me where using our MSX (his 8280 and my TurboR) the first time for chatting over the internet. That was a very strange feeling! I know that this was possible on the MSX since many years, but I never tried it, and so it was my premiere with SymbOS
SymTel is already running quite well now after fixing some bugs in the ANSI/VT100 code conversion.

This was my view:

And this was Edoz view:

Btw, "The Guru 5" is really a nice guy! :)) And your BBS really helped a lot for testing everything!
Now it's time to make the Network Daemon configurable!
Hello, how about Obsonet2 ethernet card support under SymbOs?
Very cool !
It makes really think about the fact that modern machines to do the same things need 1000 times more cpu power. ..
Really really cool
Of course, The Guru leaves the chatroom as soon as you are not alone in there.
I'm really happy the BBS is being of some use. It has been running for 10 years until now

It's "only" a question regarding the driver and when there is time for writing it. A driver for Obsonet of course will be more complex, but applications themself won't see any differences, they only speak with the Network Daemon without knowing what hardware is used.

Yes, I understand that the matter in the driver. So I'm asking, in the hope that you have time to do it.
Wouldn't it be better if new Denyonets are produced? Denyonet in TCP/IP mode frees the Z80 of the TCP/IP stack processing, so it is way faster than ObsoNet.
