The pictures are beautiful & artistic. Colors are wonderful and they show the beauty of the machines... but something is wrong and disturbing... The pictures are just so... clean? I mean...The computers look like new, there are no cables running around and they just look like... statues. The disturbing thing is probably because these SO familiar machines are SO out of their normal context... kind of in a painting or a film... and don't get me wrong... I also like to take MSX computers out and even take some pics but as you see there is quite a big difference in approach. I think you managed to make real art because when I look these I feel something I really didn't expect to feel.
I´m shooting with two old Canon DSLRs, a 30D and a 50D. But picture quality depends more on the glasses you use. In these pictures we used 50mm, 80mm and 11mm gears.
They was developed with Apples Aperture.
It´s a sunny afternoon today, so I´ll try to make a 8020 sweet enought for our bees...
Nice, I'm more used to find spiders in old MSX machines that I clean up
You should have plugged an LCD screen playing a Hudson Soft game or TwinBee :)
Maybe you could have another workshop converting those images and display them on real MSX machines ? (that could make a nice picture demo disk)? Here are some quick samples in interlaced screen 7:
Amazing, I didn't even directly notice it was an MSX conversion!
Now that I think about it: does your converter/viewer also support 512x512 images? NYYRIKKI once made such an image (using interlacing and overscan in sc7).
What does it look like in interlaced sc8 or perhaps sc12?
Nice Idea!
I resurect my 8280, connect my camera and used videographics after a long time.
That´s a first test, will do more on weekend. But it remind me how difficult it was to capture a screenshot from a crt.
