I am writing because I am looking for advice to my MSX1.
I bought a Toshiba HX-10. My joy is small. I can not use
I also bought a megaram mapper. I do not know how to use a computer and a mapper. I saw sofarun, I am uploading the software to the SD card and at the end. I do not know what a mapper card should look like. I do not know which software will open the sofrun. I have TOSEC for MSX.
can anyone have a ready SD card image for msx1?
I have atari, commodore and spectrum at home, this is my first MSX
it's a very nice computer

Get a new SDCARD, format it in the MSX with CALL FDISK . Don't do it in a PC or it will NOT boot.
Download DOS/Nextor.
Move the MSX formatted SDCARD to the PC. Create a folder called DOS. Copy NEXTOR.SYS and COMMAND2.COM in the root of the SDCARD, copy the rest of the files into the DOS folder.
Download Sofarun.
Create a folder called SR in the root of the SDCARD. Unpack the Sofarun files into the SR folder.
Create a folder called GAMES in the root of the SDCARD, move your TOSEC files into it. Zip files are OK.
Create a text file called AUTOEXEC.BAT in the root of the SDCARD (use a proper text editor, not crap like MS WORD).
Put this inside:

PATH A:\DOS\ A:\SR
CD GAMES\
SR /S

Move the SDCARD to the MSX and boot.
Navigate with cursor keys or Joystick to the GAMES folder and select the game you want to load.
You may have to edit SR.INI and SROM.INI if you want to change some options.

Maybe the manufacturer or seller of that SD Mapper/MegaRAM can send you an SD card image or zip file with the required files and a SofaRun set-up and configured for it? I think it would be good to provide that.
