SofaRun v5.0 released

Hi all,

SofaRun has been updated to version 5.0, with OCM support and many different improvements on all tools:

• SofaROM
  
  • Added OCM support
  • OCM mapper type is automatically set depending on the ROM type
  • Added OCM specific "per-game" options:
    
    • CPU speed
    • VDP speed
    • Keyboard layout
  • Added an option to display the free disk space on the drive (might slow down the browsing on crowded drives)
  • Fixed broken "external SCC" slot support
  • ROM device setup is now done after launch confirmation (causing less impact on the system if aborted)
  • Prevent internal turboR mapper to be corrupted by ESE-RAM detection
  • ZIP entries can now be copy/pasted (both files and directories).
  • Error message with explanation is displayed if execution of an external tool fails.
  • Changed the disk-flushing system to avoid problems with pre-allocation on Nextor. The "Pre-allocate" setting has consequently been removed.

  • Added "FORMAT" support
  • Drive "B:" is now mapped to current disk +1.

  • Added new commands:
    
    • "Auto-start from here"
    • "Auto-start random"
    • "New file"
    • "Cut all"
    • "Copy all"
    • "Delete all"
    • "Rename"
    • "Cut"
  • Pasting a file or directory now never erases existing files or directories, but creates new names (using the Windows like ~x pattern).
  • Added drives entries in the ZIP browser

  • Better disk-error handling and reporting (error messages with explanations are displayed on failures).

  • Updated VGMPlay to version 1.2 - commit 2f68c90

Warning: as the settings have changed again, be sure to check or reset to default your per-game and SofaRun settings.

The most interesting thing is maybe the "Auto-start" commands that allows you to launch files linearly or randomly from the current directory or ZIP file (great for VGM musics !). The copy/paste commands from within ZIP files are also handy (you were only able to extract the whole ZIP file content before that).
