I started recently to code for the V9990, and I discovered that there is no complete and accurate emulation done for that videochip. So I do wonder (as it is part of the MSXVR package) how accurately this videochip is emulated in the MSXVR ???

It's a mystery. Also I am more interested in an accurate MSX emulation than implementing PCEngine or X68k.
Also the used MSX emulator seems to be a new development. In how far MSXAudio, Music, the R800 and the G9k work in operation we have to wait and see.
We will have to be surprised, but I am very happy about new studies.
And I'm looking forward to get the MSXVR in my hands.

Haha, this project builds up to being either the biggest sensation or the biggest scam of the 21st century MSX history. I love it LOL!

The MSXVR has been delayed by a couple of months :'(
Well... their initial deadline was a bit enthusiastic, hehe.

I do agree, it was not realistic.

I am surprised by the number of units that are going to be produced: 500 (not bad!) and most of them already have an owner.

The good news is that the RPI3B+ is going to be replaced by a RPI4B because lack of stock.

They explained the situation very thoroughly in their email update letter. It's nice to be informed.

Seems it's not so straightforward to transform the design to injection moulds, and it has to be done right the first time, because it's expensive. And when the casing is altered, the PCB:s have to be adjusted accordingly.

And then there is that thing with PI 4. Well, these things just take time. It's not any little hobby project Smile

There was not a word about the software side in the email. If that means the software is ready, that is definitely a good thing!
