How to edit MSX files on PC?

Hello, I would like to edit MSX files such as .BAS files on a PC (Windows).
Is there any software that can open and edit these files?
Excuse me mohi in English, translated by Google translator.

i think the simplest would be to load the file into the emulator, save it as ASCII text (maybe under different file name):
SAVE "MYPROG2.BAS", A
(the A would tell BASIC to save in format readable by any plain text editor, on PC too)
and then edit it. afterwards that ASCII files are loading into MSX-BASIC without issue

Openmsx and fmsx (and others, I guess) have the nice feature to use a directory as a disk, which can be quite useful for that.

Thanks for the advice, and in which emulator would it be best?
I'm new to MSX, I use BlueMSX on my PC.
And as a real computer I use SX1 from 8bits4ever.

well, if you have a SX-1 computer with SD card, then you can save with ",A" onto card without using emulator, then edit file on PC Smile

Or use akid directly on the sx1. Its a simple text editor that works well for simple files.

The problem is that I can't edit the xxx.BAS file on my PC
If I open a .BAS file, I'm just confused on the screen.

for example :
˙5€ :ŹćPOKE &HFBB1,1 'Poke to disable [CTRL]+[STOP] Z€
Ĺ: Ěë: ź: † A(),A$(),B$() i€ ‚ Bď Ů  „€ ‡ A,A$,B$: ‹ Aď˙ Ú< ľ€( ‹ ˙—( - )îďA Ú A(YR)ďA: A$(YR)ďA$: B$(YR)ďB$: YRďYRń Ä€2 ƒ Ý€< Yď(˙—( ±ó)ü)ň(YRü) ě€F ‚ Bď Ů YR P Ř (˙—( ®ó)ü)ň(˙’(A$(B))ü),YńB: ‘ A$(B) %Z ƒ: BďYR Ud Xď(˙—( ®ó)ü)ň

BAS files aren't text files. That's why people are saying you would first need to save them with the ,A behind the save command, which will save them as a text file.

Since you're new to the MSX, follow these steps:

1) Convert the .BAS file to plain text on the MSX
LOAD "XXXX.BAS"
SAVE "XXXX.BAS",A

2) Edit the converted .BAS file on your preferred PC Text editor. Some IDEs even support syntax highlighting. Be sure to not make repeated line numbers when editing

3) You can read the edited file back on the MSX with a normal LOAD command.
