I already have a 32GB Samsung SD card which I can partition into 4GB chunks I think.
Yes you can do partitions, you’ll have to mount anything other than the first partition after boot (in AUTOEXEC.BAT).
Not all adapters work on the C2, not sure if this is one of them. I used the DeLock adapter successfully in the past, but I had to access the files through the adapter also on PC (direct access to the SD was not possible, it was unreadable). YMMV
