maybe just forget the SG-1000, it seems the games are not so good quality e.g H.E.R.O i think the MSX version is better

I'm not sure... Last time I saw a screenshot of HERO for SG-1000 I got the impression that it have better graphics than the MSX version.
But, I don't really remember the MSX version...

Remember also Centipede or Escape for the Mindmaster for colecovision (both games work with MISSION emulator for MSX)

About SG-1000, you can find very good games. SEGA ported some SG-1000 games for MSX in the early 80's, but they didn't ported for example their great early racing game MONACO GP.

RicBit (where is he now?) also ported some other games some years ago and finally Hap ported Zippy Race (what a good game) last year. He has also re-ported recently BombJack SG-1000 to MSX :)

It´s surely a matter of taste, but I didn´t like the looks of H.E.R.O.´s Sega conversion, graphics are good, some of the creatures are even multicoloured (snake and butterfly) but feeling in those japanese graphics is VERY different than in original game. I like more that original american look. Smile And Sega rescuer don´t even use backpack helicopter but jet engine....oO

Monaco GP reminds me a bit about two early Commodore 64 "classics":

MOTOR MANIA (1982) this neat little game has landslides and gas stations too! Smile (AND MOST REALISTIC ENGINE NOISE!!)

LE MANS (HAL (!), 1983) looks like Sega Monaco GP, has samelike tunnel driving part! Smile

both are good games in their simplicity, hopefully someone coder plays them both and combines them as mega msx racing game! Smile

Monaco GP was a very very early SEGA title, launched at arcades in 1979

Original arcade hadn't CPU, only Discrete Logic Hardware. This is why it doesn't been emulated.

wow, 1979! for 1979 arcade game, it looks fantastic!!!!!!

but as home micro game, straight road gets repetitive soon.... but of course that monaco gp deserves to be ported to msx. Smile

one more COLECO porting wish:

CONGO BONGO

it has more screens than existing MSX conversion (but lacks intro animation)

why the heck Konami didn´t make it´s Frogger to play music during playing, Coleco Frogger plays nicely that "Frogger tune". Smile Maybe they thought that "Our game buying customers are so Stupid that they don´t deserve any ingame music!" Tongue

About SG-1000 games, here´s one which surely has an honor to have one of the most memorable lovely game tune in videogame history Smile and has very nice colourful graphics and in my opinion surely deserves to be ported to MSX.

That game is DROL Smile

Here´s (complete?) SG-1000 game list with screenshots:

And here´s game which is what Hyper Rally could have been, if Konami staff just could have had what they lacked in mid-80s..... imagination:

Really something else than your VERY ordinary Hyper Rally? ;)
