Running non-sector based games would be really great...I haven't found a way on my TurboR with Flash Card yet...hddemu doesnt work from CF (it does from my megascsi).

Try rMSX 1.3 It should run pretty much any MSX1 or MSX2 game from .DSK file...

HDDEMU work on CF with Turbo-R required HDDEMU V1.04 and copy HDDEMU program in all partition for starting games
don't work with path on MultiMente

Thx for the help!

I can't seem to find the rom files for rMSX..
HDDEMU 1.04 is japanese, is there an English version and can it play .dsk or do I need to use ''getdisk'' and extract from a real floppy?

i have the english version but download is removed in MRC forum
for help in order command are
E xecute : execute data
L oad : send data to hardisk
C onfiguration : Config
Q uit : Exit Emulator
HDDEMU can loadind DSK but a HED files is required
tip : copy HED of another disk if not protect sector and rename it -> the game work fine
HED contain number of floppy for the game copy the HED create with 2 disk in game with 2 floppy , 3 for 3 , 4 for 4

hdd emu rocks i used blue msx to make hdd disk images much faster than the usual method
NOTE put a memory mapper in one of the virtual slots of blueMSX or hdd emu does not work and gives an error

I can't seem to find the rom files for rMSX..

MRC policy prevents me for giving direct download links, but for example blueMSX comes bundled with a lot of ROMs.

... I suggest you to select Japanese ones because of keyboard layout.

thx guys for helping me out! I got the HDD working in blue msx. The diskdrive from PC folder option is really cool. That allows me to get files directly from and to the emulated MSX...

I'm going to try to prepare stuff by using the emulator...and then put it on the CF

@Near dark; is it possible (as a future improvement) to add a start-parameter for the preferred boot-disk nr? That way I can make a simple bat file that always starts the correct disknr.

No parameter needed here.. just hold a numeric key when the neardark logo is visible and you boot from the desired disk.

Hey ND, I know about the key, it works great. It's just that I want to concat the disks with demo as first disk and then I want to create a bat that starts the game directly. Not every game has the same game disk so I thought it could be nice to specify this in the bat. But I can live without, it's just a nice extra.

You can add Laydock 2, the last attack to the games that work with Runit..
