Soldier of Fisla (Compile) works.
It is correct that saving should work. Just add one extra empty disk in the image.
I made an empty dsk with Winimage for this purpose. To make the image execute the following command on your MSX.
(On your PC use COPY /B instead of concat)
CONCAT /B YS3_1.DSK+YS3_2.DSK+YS3_3.DSK+YS3_4.DSK+EMPTY.DSK YS3.DSK
(Supported games list updated on the website)
Hi people,
I have posted a new test version
You will probably think whats up with the test version. Well for this version I have seperated the userdisk from the game image. you have to make a diskimage GAMENAME.DSK with all game disks in it and create a GAMENAME.USR image for userdisk. (or just read your userdisk with GETDISK or some other tool)
In this version you use key 1-9 for the game disks and the U key for the userdisk. So when the game asks for the userdisk keep U pressed and hit the key to change the disk.
Ofcourse if you have concatted your userdisk you can still switch it as you used to .
(Unfortunately I do not have a monkey to test if it is monkeyproof )
Hello. I've tested YS3 myself and it won't save states in user disks. It doesn't even work if new beta version is used and U letter is pressed.
It seems like it is not "changing key" when the number of the U are pressed and destroy the SCENARIO disk instead. I've checked with a hex viewer and the first disk is damaged compared to the original one.
I have to say that I used Spanish translation of the game (Manuel Pazos made this translation), I did not test the Japanese version.
You can test it in a quick way: Start the demo disk and press return when the first intro appears. When Adol and Dogi arrive to the house with the girl there you can create an User Disk then.
Good luck!
ill test it right away
It seems to be a problem in the code. It is not possible to keep a key pressed and pressing return to make a userdisk
I will be looking into this, maybe fix it by changing the whole diskchange code
The known bugs are:
- XAK 1 (the MSX hangs entering some buildings in the first village you enter);
I've just tested XAK1 Spanish translation (by Teo Lopez del Castillo) and it does not freezes when entering in the buildings in the first village. I hope it can help you. This was booted in z80 mode.
Good luck again.

I imagined something like that since it works in EP and SDMMCEP. If I remember it well these loaders use the key KANA *before* you press the number.
I hope you won't be forced to change too much code because of this!
Thanks for the efforts man!
Can you please dowload the new test version
New diskchange code
Keep SELECT pressed then hit the key the game requires to change the disk
Caps will start flashing meaning that Runit waits for you to press 1-9 or U
I tested this with YS3 and it seems to work now
Note: To start the game from another disk then disk 1 keep SELECT pressed during our logo until caps starts flashing then hit 1-9
I will test the original version of XAK1 maybe the problem is in the translation code
My original japanese version is working fine.
LOL my diskimage of XAK1 is was corrupt (probably in the early testing days )
After reading the disks that I bought from DeltaSoft I can play XAK1 in english from HDD
XAK1 works fine and can be added to the working games list ^^
The wierd thing is that when you save it does not show any text with the saving but it has been saved correctly
