you mean "NULL" ? -> it means "better convert the BMP picture to a JPG format and try again, else game over"

i tried jpg format before, but it appears like a NULL square. Don't worry about that and answer the question.

Well , an extract from the original User5's manual :

First page: Nemesis 2 - Users' manual - konami RC 751 MSX

1. Nemesis 2 : Nemesis 2 incorporates the use of a new custom sound chip ....
2. destroyed, a capsule appears. Gather the capsule ...
3. (3) the controls are shown below.

last page: Konami software club

.....

do you really need that to answer the question?

If you play it on a real msx, with the real cartridge, you will get the same numbers. I think it's some kind of ranking.

I know what the number is. The japanese manual explains something about a contest that was going on in Japan. I'm not sure what the complete procedure is and what exactly is stored in this value, but it's used to keep some ranking in a central database.

If somebody can help me with a complete translation of that part of the manual, I'm willing to send the scans I made of that page. I'm very curious about the exact procedure.

The number disappears when you insert a second cartridge as it's considered cheating or something. And it's also in the original cartridge.

How lucky you are, guys - you even have time for playing Konami classics.
I hardly find time to sleep between the end of the workday and the beginning of the new one. My poor Yamaha MSX2 misses me in it's box on the shelf, waiting for better times to come...

But that has no sense because the number changes getting the same score - level.

Cax, there is no free time to play nemesis 2. only to make some questions .
