1- I want Gyrus for MSX1 on a cartridge, the same version of colecovision.
2- I want Gyrus on a cartridge with graphics closes to arcade and SCC music(for MSX1 and MSX2-change palette and use of more sprites).

yes one more
Do you have anything better to do! Repetition is fun, but it is becoming increasingly repeating!

But I bet Muffie would find time to do the first option...
Hi,
We work on a cartridge with a internal SN76489AN (a real Colecovision's PSG).
The cartridge will cost a bit more expensive than a regular cartridge but the sound and the speed of games will be nice.
There are 2 possibility: make a cartridge for each game or make a cartridge with a memory mapper inside to load games with a loader on any MSX with one free cartridge slot + FDD drive, HDD interface or flash card interface.
Actually, the prototype with a memory mapper inside works fine. Are you interested in this project? And what solution do you prefer?
Another option would be to make some sort of Megarom that includes multiple Coleco Roms with that chip built in and some selector screen. It's a bit less flexible than the Memory mapper but it would be self contained and easier to use. Will you package it with the Turbo expansion module? :-)
I would buy a megarom with multiple coleco ports.
It is self contained and "collectible"
Developers willing to do coleco ports are very few, I would try to aim to the larger part of the (already very small) user base willing just to play coleco games on msx
Maybe a compromise could be a flash device sold with installed a (large) file of pre-converted coleco games and a select screen.
Hackers willing to do their conversion or developments will be able to rewrite the flash content, normal users will play games as they are
A megarom (hardware) for multiple coleco games is easily feasible but the conversion (software) takes time. The interruptions mode are different on MSX. I modified the BIOS of Coleco differently for each game. This takes up space on a ROM. It would take a long time to adapt it again. Only a few people are interested by Colecovision's games. I do not think I have time for that.
There are approximately twenty games converted. A Memory Mapper cartridge with a internal SN76489AN allows you to play all these games. This allows also many other possibilities like use the DOS2 on MSX1 and it's cheap.
However I know some people like to have their favorite Coleco's game on a cartridge. We can make 5~10 cartridges for these people. To make a compilation, we need a developer.
Hi GDX. With the exception of Mikie (from SG-1000) I couldn't notice any speed differences on my conversions.
Can you detail a little bit more, why it should be slower? I mean, the SN76489AN emulator that I did in ASM (as far as I could tell) was fast enough... I had to change noise to regular tones, but, at least, all the audio was "hearable"...
@Artrag,
Take a look at this item
If I'm correct, it uses (ugly) dip switches and (information I took from MSXBR-L) 8 27512 chips (whatever that is).
I think that's a horrible solution for a collectors item, but, that's probably the only way I'll be able to ask someone to produce multicarts with my conversions here.
