How can I bypass the ROM apps (Personal Data Bank) in a Sony HB-F5?

So, I have a HB-F5, bought from Japan. Seems to work OK. But when I use a Tecnobytes IDE interface (similar to Sunrise, and works flawlessly in every other MSX I have, be it 1, 2 or 2+), I can't boot from it. The IDE firmware startup appears, but it then goes to the ROM app screen and if I select BASIC, it goes to some other app screen I can't understand.

If I boot the computer with no cartridge, it goes to the ROM app menu, but selecting BASIC in this case does go to BASIC. Cartridge games work OK too.

I can get pics/videos when my cellphone charges.

The internal firmware is a Personal Databank (similar to HB-55 or HB-75 with saving of data on cassette, disk or a Sony HBI-55 cartridge).

You can skip it by pressing DEL when booting.

if it is that database menu with 4 horizontal entries, go to the rightmost one with cursor and press return.

@mars2000you: That doesn't work. I still end up on the "HIT BIT" screen. Even with no cartridge.

You must press DEL until you can hear a beep during the boot sequence.

There's probably another solution, but it requires technical knowledge. Here's the internal structure as it is emulated in blueMSX :

[Slots]
0 0 0 0 84 "" ""
0 0 0 4 20 "Machines\MSX2 - Sony HB-F5\f5bios.rom" ""
0 1 0 2 20 "Machines\MSX2 - Sony HB-F5\f5ext.rom" ""
0 1 2 4 42 "Machines\MSX2 - Sony HB-F5\f5note.rom" ""
0 2 0 8 23 "" ""

In slot 0-1, there are 2 roms, but on the real machine, it's probably one unique rom. In case of 2 roms, remove the second rom, it's the firmware. In case of one rom, something needs to be 'disabled' to prevent booting with the firmware.

ah now I see it. I inserted mapped RAM for IDE to work.
Then the BASIC menu entry goes jumping into database.
When I insert a DOS2 instead ide, it goes "bad drive name in 0".
practicaly a crash. I think IDE has DOS2.

In slot 0.1 is subrom and firmware. If that is on one ROM chip, subrom is gone.

Removing the slot 0.1 ROMs, screen stays black.
