convert new Castevania from ZX Spectrum. Who can?

I like those colourful graphics of Spectrum Castlevania! Smile I did not watch the entire video to not spoil the fun if this game gets converted to msx Smile so I haven´t seen everything yet. Maybe some of the enemies could stay as software sprites if they are too wide or if there are too many of them on the screen at the same time? I am not sure if there were standard size enemies (about the size of player) which were not monochrome but had few colours or were the background colours just visible through monochrome enemies? If there were colourful standard size enemies, I hope MSX conversion won´t have much less colours then, as MSX sprites are monochrome. Smile Maybe hardware sprites could mask some of the software sprite enemies in some cases? Biggest end-of-stage-monsters can be software sprites of course.

By the way, how much memory this game did eat? I really liked the quality of the loading screen and I would like it to be added to the cartridge! Smile

I would prefer the game conversions that are not on MSX such as Buzzsaw, Gravibots, Tornado Low Level...

i think one could use msx hw sprites for almost 80% of the cases on msx1. Of course you need to accept a little flickering. but i think is not critical.
RAM used is an issue, if you use a media different from a rom.
teoretically the game should be more colorfull as in screen 2 the colour clash is limited by a 8x1 line instead of 8x8 square.

I like these Spectrum graphics the way they are now. Smile But sure, I don´t mind if conversion will use sprites. Wink If somebody wants to make a direct port instead, go ahead, this game will look good. Smile

Gdx, I hope too, that many non-MSX Spectrum games could get MSX conversion. Smile And for such projects, I don´t mind, if somebody could make a nice arrangement from Commodore 64 conversion´s music if Spectrum version doesn´t have music. Smile In many cases good music will make it like a different game, even if the graphics are identical. Smile

We want to make a true MSX game. We want to use all the graphics and sprites cappabilities.
