Guys, I think you have found a little unfortunate bug... I'm doing some testes here, and will deploy a fix ASAP today.
That things you just assume are working, and don't focus your last tests in..... :-(

tfh: If you want to put the emulator in your own page, its better if you use the "import" variant. Please do as in the "deployable" example, not as in the standalone variant. Your page code will be much cleaner and organized.

Also, I have fooled you.. :-)
For the direct URL parameters, there are "shortcuts", or synonyms, like ROM, DISKA, or even DISK.
But for the explicit Javascript parameter setting, you must use the full correct name of the parameter, so it must be

WMSX.DISKA_URL = "diskimage.zip";

Hi ppeccin,

No worries... I will most certainly use the deployable version on my site, but... I first wanted to test it "quick & dirty" Smile When everything works as it should, I want to try to integrate it nicely into my site.

Keep up the good work Smile It gives us a great way to integrate MSX-stuff into our websites!

Guys,

Everything is fixed and should work normally now.
Already available in all sources. Please update your files and try again! (then let me know if it worked)

Sorry about that.

Hi Peccin,

No need to be sorry! We can only be happy with such a service! I'll give it a go tomorrow and let you know the results! Thanks for your great support!

How exactly can I run a disk image I have here myself?
Also, how about supporting gzipped disk images? Smile

Drag & drop it into the running emulator, or click the disk logo on the bottom of the screen.

If I click the disk logo I get a menu which doesn't have an enabled option to insert a disk image...

Oh, it's Load from Files... Sorry Smile

It's quite fantastic! But try some demos:
- I/O (shows some graphical glitches)
- Baltak Rampage (some glitches at the start and a hangup in the screen with the demo title)
- Unknown Reality (some overscan issues and the fonts during loading are wrong and the scope part isn't working properly and some more glitches)

There are some details to be worked out, but in general, I'm VERY impressed! Smile

Yes, there are some known accuracy limitations, and some that are still unknown! :-)

Those demos do extreme things to the hardware, they almost exploit "bugs" and some things are even "wrong" according to the standards. Some were tried by the developers and just worked "by chance" with no solid basis from the specs. Also some issues are related to the line accuracy of the emulator.

Things that simply may not be worth trying to fix, due to the limitations we have on the performance achievable inside the browser. Its something to pursue with less priority, some day!

But, if you run normal games/software, the great majority show no problems.

There are multiple ways.

Drag and drop, or use the menu to open the file. (or several files at once).
These "files" can be disk images, zipped disk images, or even a zip file with loose files inside. The last option will work similar to "dir-as-disk". Since we cannot directly access a system folder from inside the browser, you must put your files inside a zip (no need make an image) and load it, something I called "Zip-as-Disk". You can also drag and drop several "loose" files, while holding the ALT key, to automatically create a disk and load it, that is called "Files-as-Disk".

Also, if you open several image files at once, the emulator will load all of them, then you can change disks easily with "ALT + PgUp/PgDown", or using the menu. Very nice for multi-disk games.

Is "gzipped" different from "zipped"?
