I have found this picture of some of the EMR Midi adapters that were offered on classic time, but there is no JVC version.
I think that it was very difficult for EMR to introduce the interface without a MSX maker sticker on it.
Here you have also a complete description of the CPC version, thanks to JoseLeandro. You even have the gerbers to make yourself one...
Circuit diagrams, nice find! Also a nice line-up on the picture :).
On this French web page, one cultural association about retro-computers called Silicium, they claim to own an MSX EMR Midi interface and the MSX (JVC) MIDI Studio Performer software.
Of course I have tried to contact them by Email( info \à/ silicium.org ), and now I am waiting an answer.
But it would be great if some of you also try to contact them.
Oh, it would be really nice if they had the software.
If you aren’t successful I’ll also try to get in touch .
They're the people from Silicium.org, a well-known french retro forum
By the way.... My personal interest on Electro Music Research and this Midi interface and software is...:
-SymbiFace3+CPC emulates the CPC version of the EMR interface, thanks to Hans(TMTLogic).
-CPC EMR Performer software has been ported to the Enterprise+SF3 by Geco the Hungarian, using the MSX screen from the bad picture I put here....
Better a video to explain it.
If the MSX Performer software is found on some near time, I have no doubts that Hans will emulate also the MSX version of the EMR interface.
I am also interested on SF3 emulation of other MSX Midi interfaces, like the Philips module, and I see very promising the C-QENSR program to play plain Midi songs.
