At this moment,there som nice license plates in Spain like DVD,DTS,DSK,FDD,COM,BAS,BIN,BAT,CAS
COM,BAS,BIN,BAT,CAS are impossible, since the three letter spanish plates have no vowels. Anyway I saw FDD and I tough the same as you. 
In finland we have plates like: AAA-111, so all plates between MSX-000 to MSX-999 are possible AFAIK.
And many of those are most likely used already. Since I really can't use the plate for which I gave the url in the first post, I'll have to seek a car with a plate "MSX-???"... 
Most preferably MSX-111.
