I think Alberto was optimistic about the availability and time of delivery of the parts of the hardware. The Coronavirus issue in China may force a new delay but I am SUPERconfident about the shipment of the MSXVR.
One or two weeks ago we could se a photo of the keys of the customized keyboards.
The MSXVR works (I have seen it), and it will be finished and shipped ASAP.
I hope they will give an update soon on the progress... I really hope it will be ready and delivered before summer holiday
Quite interesting the new customization options for the MSXVR. I might consider the flip-up slot covers:
And you can even choose different colours for the frame and the slot covers.
...and even translucent cursors! (the red and green ones):
Got the flip up covers. Looking forward to this machine!
A new youtube video has been released!
Sorry for what I am about to say, don't take this the wrong way but....this is not an MSX..
Ofcourse it is a new generation, but it looks like a Arduino/RPI programmable device, with modern features.
The machine itself looks very nice, but it isn't like the TR, a MSX on steroids, it is more like a an alien who seems human on the outside .
Kudos to the creators ofcourse, it is an achievement and a great result
But now that i have seen the real machine and some creating software etc. I come to this conclusion.
Keep up the good work for those who will love it and have a gazillion hours of fun, because that is what it is meant for after all.

It is an MSX and it is an official MSX (the MSXVR team has been given the approval from Nishi to use the MSX logo). Of course that tool "GameSaurus", which does use a modern IDE and a high level language to design games specifically for the MSXVR, leaves far behind the traditional MSX software development, there is no question about that.
It's an emulation box. One with some awesome hardware features, but an emulation box nonetheless.
No amount of branding or logos is going to change that.
