@wimpie3

Thanks!

A few questions/comments,
- For Konami's Billiards you mention a 1983/4 copyright. But I have only seen 1984 copyrights. Do you have a ROM that says 1983?
- I don't see Jolly Hopper in your table. This was going to be RC715 before it got re-used for Hyper Sports 1
- You don't have the Japanese names for most of the unreleased titles, while they are known
- RA003 (Uranai sensation), you list a 1988-01 release date, but it was not actually released until 1988-12. It was delayed numerous times as can be seen in the 1988 issues of MSX Magazine. In addition, the very first mention of it in an ad in MSX Magazine 1988-01 lists it as "MSX 1,2 compatible". So either they were planning 2 versions, or it was meant to detect a newer MSX and show different graphics. In later ads MSX1 is no longer mentioned.
- RA004 (Snatcher), you list a 1988-11 release date, but it seems that this was delayed to December
- RA006-RA007 (Game collection 1 and 2) these was listed in MSX Magazine issues with a 1988-11 release date
- RA009 (Game collection 4) your listing a 1989-04 date, while according to what I found it was 1988-12. Perhaps I missed something?

Note, I am still going through old MSX Magazines, and only got to 1989-03 so far so I may be missing something still.

I'm not sure if the dates published in MSX Magazine can be trusted. I've got them from an official Japanese publication (I'll look up the title as soon as I'm home). But they could be wrong as well of course.

As for Billiards, the Sony version had an older copyright year (see https://www.generation-msx.nl/software/konami/computer-billi...)

Jolly Hopper does not appear in the list since I consider this to be a working title for Hyper Sports 1.

At least for Uranai Sensation, I'm pretty sure that it was delayed until end of year. This is clear from the Konami ads which keep changing the launch date on them. A lot of other dates are from the upcoming new releases table that they started publishing in mid 1988.

For the early Konami games I had used an overview that they published in (I think) a 1985 or so MSX Magazine publication with all the publication dates for the early games, and that seems to match up pretty well with what you had.

Forgot to add, regarding the Konami Game Collections. Vol. 1, 2 and 4 all have a title screen with a copyright of 1988. Vol. 3 and the Extra edition are the only ones with a 1989 date. Vol.3 was originally scheduled alongside Vol.4 for a 1988-12 release, but wile it seems that Vol.4 was indeed released on schedule, Vol.3 was clearly pushed back.

Does this also (partly) explain why Vol. 3 is more rare (at least that is my impression) than the others?

And it's finally out:

http://bifi.msxnet.org/msxnet/konami/konami.txt

You surely want to take a look on this too, especially the last pages (this link is also mentioned in the txt-file):

rderooy: If you want, I can upload the PDF to site you suggested. It's been already hosted by tfh anyway.

Do you have proof of the European release of Frogger? And Pippols?

@Bas040 for at least Pippols, we know there was a french importer, who where apparently the official importer for Konami for France, that sold the Japanese version (image on GenMSX). But I don't think you can call that a European release. Possibly Frogger was also offered that way.

Those remained unchanged from the old list. Imo, it's unlikely that they were officially released in Europe. Pippols has though the French Maubert-version, but that's not official release of Konami, just a "importer release".

Not saying that the list is perfection (if ever can be), but a lot better than the previous one.

Next I will try to find time (coming weeks) for checking GenMSX and send better pics from items - if I have any better to offer.
