Hi.

I'm searching for a Turbo R GT in very good condition and fully functional.
I want it complete (box, manuals, cables, disks, etc...) but this is not definitive, so we can talk.
I prefer the GT model as the first option but, depending of some factors, I can be interested in a ST also.
I have a few options in my hands but I'm still searching THE offer so, if you want to sell a Turbo R, contact me and we can talk.

what model of MSX Turbo R did you get? Unfortunately there are few for sale at exaggerated prices!

512K in it and you practically have the same machine. Unless you want to play Illusion City (and maybe some obscure other program) with MIDI.
On the plus side, you do have audio RCA out and no jailbars in the video
Don't use a 110V power adapter on it, but 100V instead. Or (let somebody) change the orriginal internal transformer.

To play games that uses MIDI, I have the possibility to use Midi Saurus, SFG-05 or MIDI PAC if the game also have FM music.
I pretend to adapt a 220V internal PS but is there a problem if I use a 110v step down instead 100v?, I have some japanese devices that uses 100v plugged in a 110v step down adapter for many years with no problem.

On my tR, I have occasionally experienced RAM errors when running it with my 220/110V converter. This is not the case with my 110V models. I don't want to take the risk of running the tR at too high a voltage. The old hardware is too valuable for that after all.
A conversion is to be aimed at if you do not need an original machine.

The 110V converters convert 230 to around 114V. That's 4V too much to stay within the 10% margin.
If you like your computer to live longer, 110V is just a no go. It stresses the computer's internal PSU constantly.
