Lately me and some friends want to create a site that would have reviews for old games along with screenshots and maybe some download for games that are in the category of "Legal Abandonware" in the sense that their original authors have given permission for people like us to upload them in to the internet.

I have found several games that their creators and authors have given permission for such things.I would like to include some msx software and i would like to ask the status of copyright in some msx games.Mainly i would like to have some reviews and downloads of old msx titles.

In the case of games by casio, konami, sony is there any hope that if i send an email and ask for permission i would get one?
I know that these are large companies have the copyright for those old games.
I am just trying to be on the most legal and respected road if i want to create such a site.

Could you tell me of any old msx games that their authors programers etc have given permision for people to freely distribute in the internet?

Thank you!

nikodr - Generation MSX could also be such a site... You can add reviews to the games and if they are legal to download, I think Sandy may consider it to have them as well. As long as it's really clear that it's legal Smile
