Hi guys,

I was wondering, what classic MSX games were officially remade by Konami? By that I don't mean new games with the same history/Characters (like MGS or Gradius V on PS2) but the same MSX game released on a new platform, but with improved graphics and/or sound (like the original MSX Metal Gear released in MG3). I heard there's a Nemesis 2 and Salamander version for PSP, is that correct? Are there any other remakes available for PSP or Cell phones (like Knightmare and others)?

Thanks.

Twinbee had better versions for arcade, and also conversions for the Turbografx.

Nemesis '90 for the Sharp X68000, it's the remake of Gradius 2.

Actually, Konami has some nice remakes/conversions of MSX games for the Turbografx and Playstation. Gradius, Salamander and Castlevania (Vampire Killer) are available for both PSX and PCE.

Do you mean like later remakes or games that were released about the same time?

Well, the biggest difference is Green Beret. I jumped in the air when I saw it in the arcade hall at the Carnival.
So THAT's how they meant it. :-)

Gradius 4 was released for the PS 2. Still recognizable style.

Thanks for the replys, guys. I'll check the X68000 version of Nemesis II, I wasn't aware of this one. Wasn't there a Knightmare game released in cell phones in Japan by Konami? Anyone has info about this one?

Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2 were also released for mobile phones iirc and included in Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence.
