Hi there, I'm new to these forums. I'm from the Netherlands, and used to play a lot of games on the MSX when I was a kid.
These days I'm into building scale models of various (mostly sci-fi) subjects, and recently I started to think it might be fun to create a scale model of the ship from one of my favourite games from the old days: Aleste.

I did a bit of searching on the web, and came about some useful pictures to use as reference-material for the model, but a lot remains unclear.
There is one piece of imagery in particular which I'd like to see more of:

http://home.tiscali.nl/vargen/troep/alesteveiling.jpg

The picture comes from an auction.
I'm refering to the white sheets/book on the left side. It's looks like the manual (I think it is?) with a "sideview" of the plane as a linedrawing.

I've tried to find a complete picture of this view on the internet, but so far have had no luck.

So my question is: Is anyone who owns this manual (if that's what it is?) willing to scan this for me? And if so, if there are other useful pictures of the plane in it, I'd really like to see those too!

Hope someone can help - Vargen

You could ask the guys of Basix, since they organised a small 'fold your own Aleste plane' contest back in 2005, as these pictures testify:
Plane 1
Plane 1 and 2
Plane 2?

At least, in my memory those paper folds were made after an example paper...

@ FiXato >>> Thanks, though I'm wondering... those are probably from Aleste 2. At least with Aleste 2 there came a paper plane on which those in your links seem to be based. Still, these mightl be a help in getting a grip on the proportions of the plane from Aleste 1!
I tried looking op Bazix, but it looks like they have ceased their activity. Oh well...

@ Huey >>> Thanks, but that's definitely the plane from Aleste 2. I did find more info on that one too, and maybe I'll try building it sometime. Though it looks a bit too much like a Valkyrie from Macross, so it's not very original.

The founders of Basix are also part of the founders of MRC Vargen666 Smile
Maybe snout knows some more about the paperplane Smile

That paper plane was Aleste 2's paper plane indeed. But Aleste 1 came with a paper plane as well. It's true that we (Bazix) have pulled the plug of WOOMB, but the games will become available again on short notice. If you have a little patience, you will be able to buy an official English Aleste 1 including everything (in virtual form) for a low price shortly Smile.

That sounds good Rikusu, as long as it included all the manuals so I have my reference-material. Smile
By the way, is there a link or more info to this project - I take it there will be more games released in this way?

Yes, there will be more games released this way, but I'm afraid I can't disclose any more about it at this moment in time. You might know WOOMB, the website through which we have been officially selling several games (also completely translated Japanese ones), but due to transitions in Japan, we were not able to continue the initiative in the same way. As soon as more information can be disclosed, the Bazix website will be updated as well. I expect all this to happen within one or two months, but it may take a little longer.
