This is not exactly related to the MSX, but quite close... Wolfenstein 3D for the ZX Spectrum:

Do you think it's a fake video or is it really possible ?

I've played some years ago a Demo of a Doom game for Spectrum:

It's for Pentagon, but it works with standard speed.

Wolf3D and Doom (The version of the video is the TRD one, the last version released) are available on World Of Spectrum

yes Pentagon is at 7MHz

I think that a turboR could safely cope with this kind of games, even in screen5.

Take a look at this peace of software.
Looks like also a C64 can run 3D games.
Maybe our MSX can do the same in screen 3??

Pretty impressive if you ask me.

Seems that it uses a text mode to speedup the data dump. Maybe something similir could be faked in screen 2 (I suposse that screen 3 would be too slow)...

Wauw, really liked the ZX spectrum version. impressive that it didn't use any kind of modification.
I really want to play something like it on msx.

it is called zdoom or doom83 IIRC, the souces are free on some for TI website
The fact is that the TI 83plus is by far faster than any plain msx (only a TR is better)
It uses a ZiLOG Z80 microprocessor running at 6 MHz, a 96×64 monochrome LCD screen

here is the code...

and here too (two versions)

I would like to see smooth scrolling 3D-PAC MANIA on MSX-1! Big smile

it may need little map in corner, but I suggest you could have a key to turn map on/off Smile or nicer (and frightening and harder) it would be to have key for map, and by pressing it down, whole screen turns to pacman maze (and you cannot play nor see ghosts while watching map maze) and getting your finger off from the map key returns you to game.

But "ordinary" smooth scrolling 3D-PACMAN would be nice too... Wink (almost same, just without jumping and musicWink)
