a lenghty screen DOH !!!! Thats the sollution. I just load a 16kb image file of 256x128 to page 0, then copy it to (0,0) in page 1 then I load the other 16 kb image file (the other 256x128) to page 0, and then copy it to (0,128) in page 1. when I load a picture in screen 5 page 0 the picture will be lost if after that I type: ld a,5 call $5f the bios whiches screenmode to screen 5, and clears page 0. is there a way (without using bios) to switch to screen 5 without erasing the data on page 0? nope, unless MANUALLY ...

filling VRAM with a color

a highspeed fill would do the trick. (cmd $C0) You could also use setwrt and then out a gazillion ... the yeah I read it, but everytime I use an instruction like the $c0 command, there is allways 1 line ... with sx=0,sy=0,dx=0,dy=0,nxl=255,nyl=255............... anyway a fast command allways copies / fills with 2 pixels a anyway a fast command ...
