Although the deadline of MSXdev'04 has been extended to August 11th, new entries to this programming competition are coming in as the original deadline is getting closer. Today a game by Karoshi Corporation was completed:"Soukoban Pocket Edition.
MSXDev'04 entry: Stratos
On the 31st of July the 2004 MSXDev competition closes. As the deadline is getting closer, more and more developers send in their finished games. Last week Eat Blue! 2004, the second MSXDev'04 entry, was released, followed by the third entry: T-Virus.
MSXdev'04 entry: T-Virus
Another finished MSX game is now available at the MSXdev'04 contest list: T-Virus, coded by Dioniso, who also participated in MSXdev'03 with PENGUIN RACE.
T-VIRUS is an excellent shoot'em-up with cartoonish graphics, fast action and incredible music and sound. This one is difficult!
Today the MSXdev'05 status page was updated with 4 more entries, 2 of which already have been completed.

The MSXdev'05 status page has just been updated with a new entry developed by José Luis Tur. Viking is a strategy game based on a game originally published for the Dragon computer.

Unfortunately one of the games sent in for the MSXdev'05 competition was disqualified by the MSXdev'05 jury. Snoopy Town was disqualified because it was not an original entry, but a modified copy of Mauro Marinelli's game published in the Italian LIST magazine in 1988. The author of the MSXdev'05 Snoopy Town version claims he didn't understand 'remakes' weren't allowed.
The first finished MSXdev'05 game was published yesterday at Robsy's MSX Workshop. Magical Stones, by Alfonso D.C. (a.k.a. Dioniso, MSXdev contests regular), is a jewel-destroyer puzzle game, in some aspects similar to Columns but with a different gameplay.
MSXdev'05: Monster Bash
The MSXdev'05 list is getting longer and longer. On our forums Karoshi announced the release of Monster Bash, an MSX1 version of the classic Sega monster-hunting-fever game.
