Jussi Pitkänen (ccfg) sent us the second entry for the Under Water Challenge. His contribution consists out of a demo with 3 different parts: Bars with bubbles, Plasma and a Picture with a text-scroller. The demo is accompanied by some PSG music. All you need to run this demo is an MSX1 with 32kB RAM.
About once every two months the remaining MSX users from in and around Tokyo gather in Kawasaki city for a friendly chat and to catch up with the latest MSX developments.
Vincent van Dam sent us the third entry for the Under Water Challenge. Vincent submitted a game to this challenge, just like he did for the Snowfall challenge. Unlike that entry this game is suitable for one and two(!) players. The entry requires an MSX 1 computer with at least 16kb memory.
[D-Tail] sent us the fourth entry to the Under Water Challenge: Blub 'n' Breathe. Unfortunatly [D-Tail] did not have the time to finish this game, which was inspired by Mario Brothers. The entry now consists of an early version of a game engine, without collission detection.
As of today, more than 500 MRC members have listed themselves in the MSX Resource Center contacts list, which is a service only available to MRC members.
At this very moment you are reading a very special news post. We are proud, pleasantly surprised and honored to announce that a grand total of 500,000 visitors have visited our website since we installed our Nedstat counter on August 8th, 1996.
5000 MRC accounts
Almost a year ago we celebrated forumpost 100.000, and concluded with the notion that the next important event would probably be MRC account 5000. Today is that day!
5000 newsposts
If you would've told the paper MSX magazines in the late 90's that thousands of news posts could be made since 2002, they probably would laugh you in the face.
Maso Jose sent us the fifth entry to the Under Water Challenge: a benchmark for the TMS9918A (MSX1) VDP, Grijander Water.
600+ MSX items for sale!
Hi Everyone,
Due to reasons beyond my control at this moment, I have to sell some of my MSX stuff. At this moment, about 600 items are indexed. Bad luck for me, but probably fortunate for you. Weither you are a collector or die hard user, with 52 MSX computers, 110 roms and disks, 167 tapes and 61 devices indexed at this moment, I am sure you will find something interesting.
