Genki is a Japanese game development studio who are to release a Nintendo DS version of Daisenryaku (Great Strategy) by the end of May.

DAPHNE is a Free laserdisc game emulator that allows you to play laserdisc arcade games on PC.

Demon's Palace

A Japanese person has made a game inspired by Konami's Knightmare II - The Maze of Galious. The name of the game is Demon's Palace. Although it is not 100% true to the technical MSX limits (although it's very close) it looks and plays like an MSX game.

Demoscene Research thesis

Students, and a lot of young and mid-aged professionals, used to be (or still are) demosceners. Sometimes these roots find their way into their career, like in case of Markku Reunanen from Finland. He made a thesis about the demoscene for his study at Aalto University, a subject that - in a formal way - hasn't been documented a lot, so far.

A post on the Sega 8bit forum SMS Power revealed that Fukio "MTJ" Mitsuji, the game and character designer of Taito's Bubble Bobble, passed away last year on December 11t

Destroy The Core! have released a chiptune album on which MSX, Music Module and Playsoniq were used as key instruments.

The Spanish game developer/publisher Dinamic released an impressive list of MSX games in the 1980s and early 1990s.
