The active Japanese MSX group Syntax, well known from their diskmagazine NV (which is still being released on a regular basis) have released a free disk containing four of the shoot'em-ups that were published on the NV diskmagazines by Imahi in the past.

During the 70th Comic Market in Tokyo, not only the return of the One Chip MSX was announced. The Japanese Rabbit Soft Workers, known from Gunnerhip 2on2, also announced a new game they are working on called Target Area.

If ever you wondered how fast one could finish Konami's hi-tec guerrilla game Contra, then you gotta see this. In little over ten minutes, scrimpeh has finished this game, admittedly with some technical help, hence the term TAS (Tool Assisted Speedrun).

In 1987, Japanese company Toho released the first of their Arsene Lupin games. And let's face it, it screams Vampire Killer in every direction. The game isn't really bad, but few would argue that this game is actually an improvement over Konami's classic platform game.

Wanna see something insane? There's a TAS of Usas afoot, which got canceled recently due to the discovery of a tactical mistake. Vampier has made a video of the omr file (the 'replay data' you can feed into openMSX) to enable us to see what actually got canceled.
