Another MSXdev'05 project has been completed and is ready to download. It is time to play Cheating Wives, a game with a very original concept created by Crappy Soft. The concept of the game is listed in the manual as follows: This time it's for real... you've been told that your wife is cheating you. Now, you're going to catch her in the act.

The Vscreen optimization test by Arturo Ragozini has been updated a little bit.

With less than a month to go, the deadline of the MSXdev'05 contest is getting closer, so you can expect a bunch of new MSX games very soon. The first example is a new finished entry by Karoshi Corp., not previously announced. This game is Saimazoom, a frenzy old school adventure, originally released for spectrum in 1984 by Dinamic.

Active visitors of the MSX Resource Center already knew that Arturo Ragozini had found a way to enable VDP commands in SCREEN 4. During vblank, a switch to SCREEN 5 is made, enabling VDP commands.

Alex Wulms has released the MODplayer for MSX turboR which he released as Xelasoft in the mid 1990s. The player is capable of playing MODfiles in mono on PCM, but also can use the DAC of one (or even two) Philips Music Modules, resulting in stereo replay.

A new version of Bargain, an image compression and decompression toolkit for SCREEN 5 to SCREEN 12 has been released. The new version adds better error-correction, allowing you to load files compressed with Bargain versions earlier than 4.6 as well. The kit comes complete with source code and a filebrowser.

Near Dark released a new version of Runit, a tool which can be used to start disk images from IDE and SCSI media such as Harddisk, ZIP or CompactFlash. The tool is an improved version of the popular START.COM, but uses less (and a different part of the) memory, making it possible to run more games with it.

Marcel Delorme has released a new version of G9BVIEW, a utility to show compressed .G9B files on GFX9000. The utility was previously only available, bundled with the GFX9000 library.
