Description

The Brother M-1009X is a 80 column 9-dot impact printer released in Japan in 1984, and in Europe in 1985 for use with MSX computers. It has either a Japanese or International character set, depending on the region it was sold in.

Note: in Japan there was also the M-1009 meant for the Fujitsu FM series, which is not meant for use with an MSX. This can be confusing as the European version for the MSX was also simply called M-1009.

The original black ink ribbon is the Brother 9010.

This printer was also sold as Sony PRN-M09.
