Description
The Canon VJ-200 is a joystick that was sold on the Japanese and European markets. It is actually the same joystick that was sold for the MSX by many different vendors in different colors, and as such is widespread. The actual OEM manufacturer is not known.
It features two separate trigger buttons, one on the top of the stick, and the other on the base. The stick offers little resistance, and the suction cups harden or deform over time. Button 2 may be difficult to press, and require fixing.
For the anecdote, there is written "Manche à balai" on the VJ-200 box for the French market, but in French this means: Broom Handle. It was also marketed in Europe to C64 owners as providing a reset button, due to the fact that pressing the second trigger button on an MSX Joystick when connected to a C64 will cause it to reset.
