ATA/IDE/PATA interfaces are extensions that allow to use ATA/IDE/PATA disk drives on MSX. The first interfaces often use a specific FAT12 formatting or specific partitioning so they cannot be read directly on a Mac / PC. The others use FAT12 or FAT16 formatting but do not support long file names (8 + 3 characters max). In addition, hidden files and folders can be annoying. Configure your system (Mac, Linux, Windows, etc.) to prevent these files from being copied to the flash card. You can also use an intermediate floppy disk to transfer files.
