Delta soft is a Dutch group of MSX freaks that started developing programs in 1988. Since the fair in Tilburg 1997 they have become more active in the MSX world and start selling their programs. It's their goal to help keep the MSX alive. Over the years they received assistance from several die hard MSX users to enable Delta Soft to make the most out of their software, which is 95% written in MSX-BASIC. They also teamed up with others to release english translations of Japanese game. The Kid stopped his activities for Delta Soft since January 2011, but once in a while he released something, like Mega Demo Remastered in 2014 and the Christmas demo in 2017. Since 2019 The Kid has become active again which resulted in Snatcher Act 3 that was released in Februari 2021 and OohNoGrams released in October of the same year.

  • Rambi is mainly the PR man of Delta Soft. He does a little programming and is concerned with testing their programs. He is also the organiser of their visits at fairs.
  • The Kid is the main programmer of Delta Soft. He is responsible for the biggest part of all programming. All of the programs are for 95% written in basic, simply because he doesn't know any other language and because he feels the most comfortable in this language.
  • Runner made 2 demos for Mega Demo IV and helped on fairs till 2001.

Fun facts

They where the first group to:

  • release a dual version of a game, being Findit which was released for MSX 2 in a black box and Findit for MSX2+/Turbo R in a red box
  • release a game on Compact Flash Card, being Konami Quiz 2, which was available on 6 diskettes or 1 CF. There where no further differences. Later they released more programs on CF. In case of Thunderbirds to the rescue, the CF version is full screen and adds extra sound effects and other elements to the game, which the diskversion doesn't have
  • release a game consisting of 13 diskettes (thunderbirds to the rescue)
