Standard MSX modems

The standard MSX modems generally don't support RS-232C BASIC, but most of them contain one or several applications. Only a few modems include an improved version of RS-232C BASIC, see SVI-Modem BASIC and MSX-Modem BASIC.

If you want to use a standard MSX modem as a pure RS-232C interface, you need to modify it internally (what requires technical knowledge and skills) or add an external RS-232C interface.
