Introduction

Clubguide Picturedisk was a bi-monthly disk magazine filled with demos, promos and news from the MSX demo scene. Its audience was international though most of its contents was made by Dutch groups and individuals.

Clubguide Picturedisk 03 was released in June 1990 by Genic. As the previous edition, the general design has been conceived by the Redsoft team, with help from Fony, Genic and StarCracks members. For the first time, it includes a news section.

The interface and all parts of this demodisk are for MSX2 and higher. However, to fully enjoy the "A New Sound' demo, it's recommended to use a MSX2+ or a MSX Turbo R.

It's better to run this demo outside the menu, otherwise it can happen that the included scroll is not displayed. Besides, a MSX2+ or Turbo R is recommended to get the special mix of the demo with a Laydock picture in screen 10.

This demo uses several different screens. When the text is entirely displayed on the screen 2 with moving stars, press the following keys to access next part in screen 5 or 10:

  • on MSX2: SHIFT
  • on MSX2+ and higher: first SHIFT, then CAPS eventually twice

There are many hidden features on this screen 5 or 10:

  • A to U - sound effects
  • ESC - enables/disables the sound effects
  • TAB - disables fade out
  • CTRL - activates fade out
  • RETURN - activates shuffle feature
  • BS - disables shuffle feature
