ECHO (Environment Variable)
This page was last modified 19:35, 31 May 2020 by Mars2000you.

The ECHO MSX-DOS 2 Environment Variable controls the echoing of lines read from a batch file. Any value except 'ON' (lowercase also allowed) is interpreted as 'OFF'.

When ECHO is ON, then these lines are displayed on screen.

When ECHO is OFF, as it is by default, then the lines read from a batch file are not displayed on screen.
