The Gradiente CT-80E is a cartridge that allows to use the 80 column text mode on a MSX1 computer, as it has inside the V9938 video chip and 16kB VRAM. Official product name is "Cartão 80 Colunas Editor".

It contains a 32kB ROM with a BIOS and a built-in firmware, the Astex editor. From MSX-BASIC, you can launch it with CALL ASTEX or _ASTEX.
