Kawai's only venture in the MSX world is the KMC-5000. The KMC-5000 is a re-branded Panasonic FS-A1F machine. It was also aimed at the Japanese market. The KMC-5000 is available in black.

Firmware

The firmware is launched automatically when you boot the machine. Bypassing this software on startup requires the user to press the DEL key during boot until a Beep sound.

The built-in firmware is a new version of the well-known Panasonic DESKPAC firmware (Clock setting, Screen adjust, Clock, Calendar, Calculator, Screen colors + 3 options that require the utility disk: disk tool, graphic tool in SCREEN 8, the application Word Processor, Address Book & Name Card).
