Description

The chip referenced 052539 2312P001 is an SCC sound generator with the capacity to manage a MegaRAM up to 256Kb. This chip is a custom chip designed by Konami, and made by Toshiba, for the Sound Cartridge included with the games Snatcher and SD Snatcher.

This chip is often called SCC-I because that is written on the chip but it's also written on other totally different chips released by Konami, otherwise commonly referred to as SCC+, as it is an improved version of the SCC sound chip. In a normal SCC, the 4th and 5th channel share the same wave form. In the SCC+ the 5th channel have its own configurable envelope (waveform).
