Description

This chip is a custom sound chip designed by Konami, in collaboration with Toshiba, for the Sound Cartridge included with the games Snatcher and SD Snatcher. The Snatcher version of the chip can also be used for some disk compilations. In addition the chip was also used in various Konami arcade systems.

This chip is often called SCC-I because that is written on the chip but it's also written on other totally different chips released by Konami, otherwise commonly referred to as SCC+, as it is an improved version of the SCC sound chip. In a normal SCC, the 4th and 5th channel share the same wave form. In the SCC+ the 5th channel can have its own wave form.
