Description
The ML-G30 Model 1 is a very professional MSX2 computer with a separate keyboard and many connectors. It has been released in 2 different colors (white and black). It was first shown to the public at the Japan Electronics Show '85 (Oct 17-22).
This machine has only 1 built-in disk drive, but there are locations to add a second disk drive and an internal RS-232C interface (that will occupy one of the internal slots).
The back of the computer has a RS-232C switch that is inoperable as long as the interface is not added. The panel with the sound and video connectors will be different if you install the ML-35AV Audio-Video interface with superimposing, digitizing and Telop capacities.

Specifications
The ML-G30 Model 1 is a MSX2 with four cartridge slots (1 external in front and 3 internal in back), a Z80A from NEC (D780C-1) and an MSX-Engine S3527 from Yamaha.
The ML-G30 seems to be able to support up to four floppy disk drives using the ML-30FD. Jumpers DS0-DS3 under drives must be set to select the drive numbers. (Confirmation is required.)
About the 3 internal slots:
- The optional RS-232C card is located at back side top slot number 3-3. This slot can be disabled by the RS-232C switch at the unit rear.
- The back side slot at the middle corresponds to slot 3-1.
- The lowest back slot is slot 2.
- Cartridges with case can't be inserted in these slots.
