Description

The National CF-2700 is same as the CF-1200, but has more RAM. It was produced by the Japanese corporation Matsushita Denki for the Japanese market. At that time National was the brand used in Japan and Panasonic was used for the international market.

The product name of MSX from National is "King-Kong". The computer consists out of a single unit with integrated keyboard and power supply. This model has 2 cartridge slots placed in parallel on the top right. The case is dark grey with light grey keys, with the cursor keys having a green accent. It has been produce before the CF-1200.

The official price is ¥59,800.

This machine has been localised for the European market - see Panasonic CF-2700 (GE) and CF-2700 (UK).

Specifications

The CF-2700 is a MSX1 with a Z80A from NEC (D780C-1). The computer has 2 cartridge slots on the top right. It doesn't contain MSX-Engine. The first release has the same BIOS/Basic rom as the CF-2000.

The CF-2700 was also sold under the Panasonic brand in some countries with 64kB RAM instead of 32kB for the National version.
