Description

The National FS-5500F1, is a MSX2 computer with superimpose capabilities. It was aimed at the Japanese market. The machine is basically identical to the FS-5500F2. The only difference is that this one has just one Floppy Disk Drive (FDD).

The machine has a switch on the back to enable or disable the built in software.

Specifications

The National FS-5500F1 is a MSX2 with 2 cartridge slots on the front, and a single 3.5" Disk drive. It has MSX-BASIC 2.0 and DISC BASIC 1.0. It also has Kanji JIS1.

The three slots in the back have the same pinout as standard extension slot but the connector is different. The location seems to be slots #0-1, #0-2 and #0-3.

Floppy Disk Controller chip is the 8876.
