The Quickshot QS-128F is a joystick released in Europe. The product name is "Maverick 1".

It can connect to two joystick ports simultaneous and the player can be selected with a switch. This also allows the joystick to potentially be used with two different systems without changing cables around.

It has an autofire function that can be enabled (probably Trigger A only).

The multi-system select switch can be switched between (A) ATARI/COMMODORE, (B) MSX, (C) AMSTRAD or (D) SEGA. It's also the case of the QS-138F Maverick 1M, that is the same but with microswitches.

Note: There are several other models of Quickshot "Maverick" joysticks:

  • QS-128N Maverick 2 for NES
  • QS-128NL Maverick 2 for NES
  • QS-162 Maverick 3 for SEGA Genesis/Megadrive
  • QS-175 Maverick 3+3 for SEGA Megadrive & Genesis
  • QS-190 Maverick 2B for SNES

They all look very similar at first glance. Before purchasing for use with your MSX, ensure it looks like the pictures below, that it has the system select switch and just two trigger buttons.
