Description

The Spectravideo SVI-109M is a joyball released in Europe. The product name is "Quickshot IX". It is the MSX version of the regular Quickshot IX.

The ball does not actually roll, you push it in different directions like a regular joystick. It has a switch to swap the buttons around for left handed users.

Compatibility

The SVI-109M joyball is compatible with MSX systems. Pay attention that it has the MSX logo as shown in the pictures below.

Notes:

  • There is another model of Quickshot IX joyball, which is far more common then the MSX one: SVI-109 Quickshot IX for Amstrad, Atari, Sears, Commodore and SVI-3x8

The SVI-109 is NOT compatible with the MSX, and is the model you will typically find on auction sites. Even if the seller states MSX compatibility be doubtful.
