Description

The Toshiba HX-R730 is a modem with acoustic coupler, it was used when there was not yet a modular jack phone connector.

This device was connected to the computer and the phone handset was put on the acoustic coupler.

The phone is pressed into rubber rings so that a loudspeaker and a microphone carry telephone signals to/from the telephone line.
