Effect

Retrieves data from the keyboard inside a window.

Syntax

WINPUT #<WindowNumber>;"<Prompt>"; <Variable>

Parameters

<WindowNumber> is a number between 1 and 9. It must always be preceded by # and correspond to a window previously defined with the WINDOW instruction.

<Prompt> is the text displayed that will be followed by a question mark to ask what you need to input. String variable is ignored.

<Variable> is a numeric/string variable that will take the input value/string. Only one variable can be used with WINPUT.
